Hi Grammy!

Grammy came for a nice visit this weekend, and although the weather was cold and pretty wet, the clouds parted for a couple of hours for a quick hike outside. I think we were all getting cabin fever! This park is practically in our backyard and was filled with lizards, birds, toads etc. Beckett is just getting old enough to "hike" a portion himself and point out the birds.

Is spring here yet?

We just got back from a nice weekend visiting friends. We spent Saturday night visiting the Dibbles on Lake Cavanaugh - a beautiful place and it was great to meet their 2 friendly puppies (goldens) and catch up with old friends. Beckett was well taken care of, as he could not move anywhere without the two dogs following in tow hoping for some type of food/toy to fall. They all loved the attention.

On the way home we stopped by Mill Creek to visit with the Arnetts. They are always good for a quickie lesson in vineyards and blending - and this afternoon was no different. Their 2005 Shiraz is wonderful - we have to stop by again soon!!

Sunday began to feel like Spring - although it is probably just wishful thinking on my part. Our little bulbs are starting to peek through the ground in places - and the kitties are spying more birds, so I don't think it's just me. Looking forward to enjoying one last trip on the ski slopes and then packing away the heavy coats for awhile....it's just been too chilly this year!

We'll Beckett was not in the best of moods for this session - but his expressions are priceless regardless. He looks a bit upset because mommy would not let him push all the props around the room.... joys of walking.

99 red ballons...

Like most kids, Beckett is fascinated by balloons, but sadly has never had the opportunity to take one home (mean mommy), until today! I stood over him like a hawk - sure that the balloon would pop any minute and create the worst choking hazard we've had to date - but atlas, the balloon deflated before any true damage could happen. And now Beckett has a new word...it sounds a lot like "bath" and "ball", but he says "ba" a totally different way for "balloon" (I think I'm the only one that could tell).
